| Well, its a pretty neat trap, even if I do say so myself. Despite being a moron, Henkel did the planning part pretty well.
But in return you get a convoy with an ambulance and one which I'd suspect is a bit less well defended because they have to leave several vehicles behind to give the impression the convoy is waiting for the armored transport back at the hospital. But the baddies should have a headstart and, who knows how we'll all manage to get out of the hospital.
But it seemed fun to me.

| That is an excellent trap! I really love the way you presented it.
Nice introductory post Kynnzak! Interesting you put Vacily in his uniform, he is usually not so official but I like it! And I was wondering about the Surge name, but he would definitely use the name when in the company of other 'Beacon' types. Cool. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| There!
A little RAID write up, just for you fine folks.
Where's that Beacon write up anyway!? Huh!?

| Grumble and ye shall receive. It is just a general over view. The organization is so wide spread that people can just let their imaginations go. The general theme, though, is 'maintaining anonymity', Beacon's survival relies on being covert, which is why they generally act through operatives that receive their orders on a need-to-know basis. For example, Wraith, is basically an expendable pawn. He is given an assignment and follows his directive, but aside from that he has no other information that can expose the works. Even though he knows the real name of Surge, because he worked with him, their connections are still not concrete enough to expose Beacon... at least not after some high priced lawyers get into the mix or Beacon starts to make people disappear. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| They seem a bit... over the top, not?
They sound like they can do whatever they want, whenever they want.
They should simply be ruling the world, by the sounds of it.
Seems a bit lame to me... ____________________________________________________________________________________ Oh, Lord. Why does the robot have a mustache? I grew it with my human lip. Is... | I'll rewrite then, and make them more vulnerable. Perhaps even a small esoteric society like the Skulls.
I was going comic book style. They always have these powerful, untouchable agencies. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| There we go... another domino to fall in line.
That should be more suitable, and since the organization is close to crumbling not really a factor in the storyline, at least not for long. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| Hmmm, I could've swore when I first read the bio on Surge, that it stated he rarely went by his real name and almost always used 'Surge'. Was I hallucinating? I can't seem to find it now.
Oh well, it's also an interesting way for him to introduce himself and BEACON to Jeb.
At the risk of sounding like a glory-hog, an idea I had for getting Di Vine out of the hospital was to allow Jeb to make contact with the stretcher/gurney/whatever it is they're transporting him on, and "phase" both Di Vine and himself out of the building.
Then he could hook up with whatever transport the heroes had and hand off Di Vine to them. |

| It's certainly an option, but he would have to know the others were there and attempting to get DiVIne out of the cluthces of puppet man and his cronies.
We'd have to some how set up a meeting, even if by chance, with him and at least one of the others. ____________________________________________________________________________________ No chain, no lock, this train won't stop.

| During the limo ride to the interview, Surge could explain things to Jeb, and give him a description of the heroes. That'd make it interesting for Jeb to identify and trust people he's never met before. That is, of course, totally dependent on whether Jeb takes Surge's offer or not . . . |

| Excellent idea. I think that could work on some level. Of course, things never go as simple as that when dealing with the likes of RAID and the defunt FBI turds.
But it would make for an interesting way for him to get introduced AND have to trust others he's never even met before. ____________________________________________________________________________________ No chain, no lock, this train won't stop.

| You're probably right Kynnzak... I get a little discombobulated with all the secret identities. It does make more sense that he would introduce himself as Surge. His history would be a little different than the typical BEACONITE, since Surge would have been more of a codename when he was doing covert operations for the government. In his case, the military would have records that he is a meta-human, but due to his service to his country that information could have been classified, allowing Colonel Vacily to retain his rank and position in the pentagon, despite the RIGGS act.
He could have also buried the files later on to prevent anyone from ever pulling them up as well.
Bottom line, is that he definitely a more exposed member of Beacon, but who knows, perhaps he may be the guy in charge or he himself just another subordinate of the true leader.
I like the idea of Jeb phasing him out, of course all is reliant on just how much information, Surge would have. There is no way they could learn of the dialog that was exchanged between Henkel and Birkshire, but they could have knowledge of RAID pulling out and the FBI moving in, at least that's what the email that Toril is going to get alludes to, just some cryptic information that will do little else but raise his curiousity. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| I am sorry I am a little confused. (1) Do the heroes know that Robert is being moved? (2) How did they become informed? (3) Are they still on the original plan of rescuing Robert from the hospital? (4) Is there a new game plan? |

| I know 1 is yes because (2) Zoe managed to tap into a conversation by way of one of her powers (to be explained ) for 3 and 4, I think we were now planning on intercepting his transport (at least that was the impression I was writing by in my post) and trying to rescue him en route... if I had that wrong though, I can definitely repost. Sorry for the confusion ____________________________________________________________________________________ |
