Just trying to define the setting a bit better. So, Umbra's plan. It was stated in some of my earlier posts, basically Apex is the head of Umbra, and the gang of meta's he gathered would be members.

The antidote is addictive... but if you have any other cool ideas, just throw them in. Apex Fusion's ultimate goal is just to have control over the city. Dependence on a drug yield's control, especially when you're the only supplier, but feel free to elaborate on this idea. Perhaps you might want to try and entwine Greyson Pyre a little more into the story somehow... its up to you.

Not quite sure how I want to weave Grey in just yet, but if Wraith goes to meet him, he will probably see the signs of Vicodin withdrawal pretty clearly

What I am alluding to is that this whole UMBRA thing might be more than it seems. Lately, in this story line, people are beginning to sympathize with meta's. The tables are starting to turn, and R.A.I.D. which is now one of the most powerful organizations world wide is starting to feel the pinch. So how do you instill fear in the public while at the same time beefing up your opponents to perpetuate you need? Well, that's basically happening right now.

That's sort of what I was thinking. I love conspiracies. I believe if we go along with some part of R.A.I.D. conspiring with UMBRA, it opens up the story to those characters that have so far been on the outside of the situation. Who knows how deep the hole goes eh?

Also wouldn't that just PISS Grey off to learn that he's been a puppet of R.A.I.D. all along?

You GOTTA HAVE a rogue meta around! Like his power, Grey is definitely a glitch in the story... but rather good one. As things go along he'll definitely have a chance to stir things up again! But who will benefit from his actions... stay tuned!

Honestly, my only issue right now is what do I do with him? xD If Zoe had her way, she would just shoot him and dump him off somewhere but as an RPer I really don't wanna kill my twitchy little assassin I will just have to gnaw on things a while

Aye... there's the rub, eh? Criminal character's in this setting which is dominated by a 'hero' theme have to eventually lose, but just how bad is up to you. As cold as some of our crime-fighters are, they all still adhere to moral code. Even, Sigma would debate the justification of killing a criminal suffering from a medical condition that might have shaped his behavior.

Jail, of course, is still a final destination. A R.A.I.D. detention centre would have a jail specifically tailored for him, so that's not an attractive option either.

What I kind of foresee, is Seizure using her talents to extract some information that would force, Grey to work with the heroes. I have no idea what would do this, but the scenario itself is just a way to get the character out and about again. Once in motion, you can be spontaneous whenever you choose and Grey can either adhere to the plan or go and do his own thing.

That's honestly kind of the path I was traveling down.. though mind-reading, as I've hinted at, has some . . . side effects . . . for Seizure

Hmmmmm.... y'know, you could entwine those two characters (Grey and Seizure) in some sort of telepathic-schizoid sort a thing. Something to prevent the good guys from simply killing Grey and keeping him connected to the group.... something like that maybe....

Hmm... that would be fun, but I honestly don't think Seizure's powers are quite to that point (yet). I think I am going to end up playing on some of these characters' personalities ^_^ It'll be fun, lessee what happens

I'm trying to link up the Texas and Chicago story lines just so we have some continuity.

I sense a bit of a struggle between the two, so I thought I would just link them up and then see where the story flows from there. I like the permanent, Chicago location and characters trying to attempt to live normal lives by having secret identities... seems more natural to me... but that definitely doesn't have to be the blue print of every character. Slate sure doesn't fit into that mold, although he does wear a mask so that he can still walk down the street in broad daylight and not get jumped by law enforcement.

The outcome of the whole Apex thing will basically re-ignite the hatred and fear that people have for meta-humans. The current meta-human sympathizers who will not support RAID will be cast to the wayside, ensuring that they remain the ultimate power in America. So long as, meta-humans are a threat, the country... the continent... remains in a state of emergency that gives R.A.I.D. authority over all other law enforcement agencies when dealing with mutants.

We have built up quite the array of characters, from classic comic book, to dark mercenary and realistically, they can be adapted to just about any type of setting. I think the Texas thread can become quite interesting, especially if the characters are unified to fight against a common threat.

I broke away from your characters Kasai, since I am not sure if you're going to stick with this story in particular. At least now if you decide to bow out, we don't have any cross-overs.

Naturally right now we're hung up with the 'plague' that's effecting Chicago and I've been going the more 'sciency' route, since that's what Wraith is. If you decide to stick about, don't hesitate to take the bull by the horns and take the story down another path. I was just trying to establish a powerful antagonist (other than RAID) but feel free to write in any direction you wish.

That's fine, I figured that was what you were doing. I honestly can't make up my mind which one I need to stop... I really really don't want to leave any of them. But truthfully, this one wasn't really an option since it's kind of my favorite and I have so many characters in it, many also some old favorites

I'm hoping to get some posts in tomorrow and over the weekend
