| A river boat ride would be an excellent way for them to get to Baloc. As for the location of the smithy and residence, I would say it should be near the Town Square. Maybe on the North East corner that way it's close enough to the hustle and bustle for business yet not in the middle of things so Colleen and the kids could have SOME privacy.
And yes....I'm sure Colleen is going to have her hands VERY full with the Shoddy End gang being back among a busy city once more.
Those sticky fingers of their's will no doubt find plenty of things that catch their eyes. ____________________________________________________________________________________ No chain, no lock, this train won't stop.

| I studied the previous posts and from what I could tell it should have been mid-morning when Elija discovered the map. I found that most River Boats were essentially floating Bed and Breakfasts, so an overnight journey will be fitting.... and beware the deck at night, who knows who'll be creeping about. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| Was just thinking the same thing. "A RIVERBOAT ADVENTURE?" I am sure there is bound to be a riverboat gangler onboard with ties to Scrounger of Splevey. Or shall we link the riverboat with Baloc? |

| Well the Riverboat will take approximately 10 or 12 hours to reach Baloc. It's an overnight trip, and there may be a few other stops along the way, where other people will board. The boat will travel through the night and then there should be no more stops until day break. I have a little bit of an adventure planned for ride, but don't let that stop you from throwing in other elements of danger. i would imaging though that if anyone unscrupulous men from Elija's past are involved, they may choose not to act until they reach Baloc, but then again one might imagine that they could also plan to steal Elija or other kids off of the boat while on route as well. I guess anything could happen. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| I was thinking it as more oif a recognition thing. So that they could report back to Scounger and Splevey that Elija and the Shodding End Gang were in Baloc. Just to link everything together. But who knows what may occur.

| Oh for sure. That sounds cool. The boat really isn't that large though, so it would be very interesting to see if any of kids would recognize the spies. Could have a bit of cat and mouse in play. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| MUHAHAHA!
Evil Mermadon...
So, please feel free to role play the situation, however, you see fit. Colleen is not exactly without the reflexes of one who has seen battle, although it is a 'sucker punch' to be sure. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

| ROFL
Sucker punch indeed.
Since she has NO idea Raj isn't Raj, it will come as nothing other than what it was intended to be.

| Kind'a figured that... nothing of yet had really occurred to give her a heads up.
We'll see what happens. I am as anxious as everyone else to get to Baloc, but we have to deal with this pesky Mermadon... plus, Elija and Sam still have their hands full with the other two swindlers on board. I would think though, that it would be in their best interest not to act until they were closer to the city, but that's up to Lac.
By the next morning we should be in Baloc, the place that Mallethden does not want to end up. A lot can happen over the course of the night, though, we'll see... ____________________________________________________________________________________ |

Sam is still on the loose and Elija won't stay put for anything, knowing him and the way Lac plays him. The trouble is, they won't have a clue as to where she is. That shot was pretty good and she'll be out of it for a while. ____________________________________________________________________________________ No chain, no lock, this train won't stop.

| Totally!
Lac can assume that the unconscious Colleen has been tied up and stowed away under the cover of the lifeboat.
Yeah, I figure she'll be out for at least half of an hour and during that time, Mallethden we'll be on the hunt for Elija. He will obviously use his mother against him... the old, 'you better come with me or she's dead'... thing. ____________________________________________________________________________________ |
