Bad Rock felt the magic suddenly get sucked out of the air and he almost seemed to grin as the space between the warriors closed in quickly. The air rippled as the magic field around the staff fell away and Bad Rock’s blade met Myth’s and sparks exploded as iron stuck iron, the clang of the blades rang like a thunder clap through the confined space of the hallway. The floor shock violently as Myth’s blade cut deep beneath Bad Rock’s feet. Using the momentum of the energy under his body, Bad Rock sprung up and over the top of Myth, as his massive blade moved with blinding speed despite its size to parry any attack Myth might swing at his as he vaulted up and over. He landed nimbly and came to rest about ten feet from Myth, his blade and his staff criss-crossed in front of him creating a perfect X. As a warrior, Myth would feel the commitment that the creature had to the battle, and could almost sense the excitement to be facing a worthy opponent. Bad Rock held his place, and watched Myth with steady, black eyes. It was obvious this wasn’t a meat head covered in muscle, Bad Rock was calculating his odds and figuring out angles almost instantaneously as he focused on Myth.

Rorie grit his teeth as Rayann pressed him out of her mind, and as Kali fell he spun and raised his hand towards Rayann. Hissing words of magic, the lightening spell hit his palm and he drew the magic into himself drawing on its power and twisting the divine magic with the ambient field around him. He watched as Pela distracted and then spoke words into Rayann’s mind, “Now sister, watch as your beloved Kali dies!” Kali was on the floor, unconscious and twitching as the first spell that knocked her out of the fray was finishing up its nightmarish effects on her mind. The crackling ball of negative energy was illuminating in Rorie’s hand. His eyes were on Rayann, he wanted to see the look on his face when the very spell she had cast snuffed the life out of her daughter. Rayann was helpless to stop him, if she dropped her guard she would be killed as Pela struck out to kill her.

Like a flash of lightening the swords of Nol burst through the exterior wall and nearly severed Rorie’s head from his body, knicking his chin and the back of his hood. Rorie recoiled in pain and spun, firing the spell in his hand at whatever had just moved on him. The swords withdrew and the spell exploded on the wall, a mere meter from Rorie’s body and the shockwave threw him across the room, shards of rock tore into his robes and cut up his face. He hissed in anger and cast a spell around himself that resembled a dark sphere and scrambled to his feet and the blades penetrated the thick rock again, and Nol burst into the hallway. His eyes shimmered like silver shards and he focused on Rorie. Rorie’s face reflected his fear, it was obvious he knew who Nol was and he grit his teeth, “You can not interrupt the flow Dragon! You have no place here among this battle, their future will be warped if you intervene in this battle!” Nol nodded slightly and spoke in a clean, sharp tone, “Unless the timeline has already been skewed. I am not interfering in this families affairs, I am stepping in to defend MY family!”

Rorie’s eyes went wide and he grit his teeth as he thrust his arms forward, dark energy wrapped around his body and then swung in Nol’s direction. With his swords Nol caught the energy and deflected it through the hole behind him, knowing that if he reflected it back and it bounced off the shield Rorie had erected the magic might kill someone he loved in the hall. Rorie stared at Nol and then did something unthinkable for a mage, he ran straight at the dragon. Nol took a stance and swung, his blades bouncing off the impenetrable shield and as he spun to recover the shield struck him and he and Rorie disappeared out of the hall and onto the lawn of Glen Durel.

Rayann’s eyes grew wide and she gasped as she watched what Rorie was doing. Her eyes darted towards Kali then back to Rorie and she knew what he was doing even before his voice slipped into her mind. As the bright flash of silver erupted she knew Nol had joined the fray and would deal with her brother.

In the meantime, she had to deal with Pela and as the young mage cast a spell at her, Rayann concentrated and as Pela let her spell release, Rayann did something Rorie would have never expected her to do. Dropping her shield, she, like her brother, drew the spell into her and weaved the ambient magic together with the divine in a way that remained harmonious yet powerful enough she could use it against the young woman. In the next instant, Pela would see a spell coming at her with such velocity she had best do something quick or suffer the effects of this devastating spell

Pela watched what Rayann did with her spell and she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. That spell should have hit her square in the chest put a hole the size of a melon straight through her. Instead the woman actually absorbed her spell? How the hell was that possible?

She didn’t have time to ponder that question for long, though. Blinking as she saw Rayann’s hands thrust out before her, Pela saw a spell being hurled at her with such speed she barely had a chance to erect a shield around her that shattered when the spell made impact with it. She was struck by the spell but much of the effect of it was lost when it made contact with her shield. Still she screamed in pain as she went tumbling back down the hallway and down the stairs.

She ended up on a small landing dazed and confused. Her body still hurt as the after shock of the spell ran through her frame. Finally she staggered to her feet and used the wall for support as she tried to clear the cobwebs form her mind. Realizing she had just taken her first ass whipping by another mage, she grew very angry and clenched her jaw. Charging back up the stairs, yelling at the top of her lungs.

”You BITCH!”

Rayann wasn’t expecting the young woman to get up after that but she was quickly prepared all the same. As Pela threw a spell at Rayann, she deflected it with a shield then quickly cast two more spells at Pela. The first one was a spell to stun the young woman and the second was a magical cage to encase her in so she couldn’t do any more harm to anyone effectively removing her from the equations. Now there was just Myth and Bad Rock.

And Kali.

Pela couldn’t believe what she was seeing as the woman deflected her spell and then cast one that struck the young woman square in the chest knocking her down again and painfully forcing the air from her lungs. Pela was still reeling from that spell when she was suddenly encased in some sort of magical cage. Coughing and forcing herself to her feet, she reached out to touch the cage and immediately was shocked causing her to scream in pain again.

”Let me out of here!”

Rayann ignored the young woman’s demands and rushed to Kali’s side. She was still twitching and moaning when she reached her. Kneeling down, she turned the girl over and brushed the hair from her face as she drew her in her arms and cradled her gently against her form. Quickly casting a shield around herself and Kali, she tried to roust Kali from the nightmare she knew the girl was in. As Rayann slipped into Kali’s mind, she tried to get Kali to focus on her voice and no the terrifying, horrid images she was seeing.

”Kali….concentrate on my voice. I know it’s difficult right now, daughter, but you have to try. Listen to me. With me is where refuge can be found. With me is where Nol will be waiting for you. With me is where your family is that loves you so very much.”

Kali twitched in Rayann’s arms. As her mother spoke into her mind the nightmare of what she was seeing got worse. Her family were being butchered and tortured, and as her mother’s words were being spoke she heard them and saw her mother’s mangled hand reaching out for her. She screamed in her nightmare, and her body rocked as her face twisted in pain and anguish. She tossed in Rayann’s arms and began to flail. Her eyes shot open and her mouth started to foam as she gurgled on her own moans.

In her mind she saw Rorie, he was casting spell after spell, hideous incantations of laceration and dismemberment racked the bodies of her mother and father. Rorie held the corpse of Shaeraer by a limp leg in his left hand as he continued to cast and was standing on the body of a dead, silver dragon..., the body of Nol'Lore. She screamed again and in her nightmare broke through the shackles that were keeping her bound. Hissing words of magic her feet left the ground as she crossed the distance between her and Rorie. Her uncle turned and cast a fireball at her. She twisted in the air and a vortex left her hand, engulfing the flame and sending it right back at Rorie. For many moments her body twisted and flailed in Rayann's lap as she fought her uncle in her mind. Suddenly, her face and body went calm, sweat was pouring down her face, but her breathing steadied and suddenly she snapped awake. She clutched at her mother’s robes and looked up with terror in her eyes, “SHAERAER! WHERE IS SHAERAER?!?”

Nol hit the ground with a thud and knocked the back of his head. He felt the air leave him as his swords left his hands with the impact. Rorie had cast feather fall on himself and landed gracefully on his feet, stepping towards the silver dragon with a smirk, “Out here in the open, I have more room to maneuver yes?” He laughed as he began to swing his arms, in a circle over his head and the stones, sticks, and any loose debries began to swirl up and around Nol, encasing him in a fortification of binding magic that held him fast to the ground. He groaned and struggled as he attempted to lift his body up, but to no end.

Rorie’s shield pulsed deeply with dark magic, and he walked over towards Nol now that he was properly secured to the ground, kicking him in the face with his boot and allowing some of the blood the dropped from his chin to hit the dragon around the eyes, “A dragon is no match for a goddess Nol’Lore! You of all should know that!” He spit in Nol’s face and turned, looking at the massive hole 50 feet up above that they had just exploded out of. He could hear Kali screaming and the clash of metal to metal. Hissing words of magic he faded almost instantly from sight.

Rayann saw some of what Kali was seeing and she cringed knowing the nightmare her daughter was experiencing was real to her, Knowing Kali was a strong woman, she kept talking soothingly to her and knew she would find the strength to defeat this nightmare and return to the land of the waking. Even as Kali’s body twitched and flailed in her arms, Rayann let the girl work through the horrible images without hurting herself.

When Kali grew calm Rayann knew she had defeated the nightmare and gently wiped the sweat from her brow. When Kali’s eyes popped open and she grabbed a hold of Rayann’s robes with a death like grip, Rayann’s eyes grew wide and she blinked. Covering Kali’s hand with her own, she tried to pry the girls hands off her robes. Knowing Rorie would be able to hear her mind missive unless she cloaked it, she quickly cast the spell that allowed her to communicate with Kali so that none others could hear her.

Myth spun around his eyes following Bad Rock as the warrior landed positioning himself. With something akin to a sigh Myth only shook his head repositioning himself. If there was one thing Myth knew from his time in the court it was that Bad Rock did not back don. He did his best to perform the task he was paid to do. Myth blanked out the world around him focusing on Bad Rock. He slipped Blue Moon into its sheath as he dropped himself into his ready position. The absence of magic in this fight made Myth's combat options substantially easier. His mind sped like lightning through his options.

On one hand he could strike out with the sheath in its entirety and upon contact spin and draw the weapon. It was not a move many were used to but it was one benefit of having a curved blade. Still he could also wait for the attack to come to him in which case he could wait and strike from the draw. It was fast and quite powerful but Myth was well known for the attack. He frowned pondering the second variation of the drawing strike. It was faster stronger, but also deadlier to preform because of the timing involved. This was a fight Myth knew could not last long and as such knew that he needed to deal with Bad Rock quickly.

Myth's hand hovered just above his hilt as he waited it was clear after only an apparent moment of thought he was ready. The timing needed to be perfect but Myth had the motivation of his family to emphasize his accuracy. The strike would come at the absolute last possible moment, the moment Bad Rock's weapons began to touch his bare skin. The speed of the strike would come from the strength of his arm and step of his foot. Should the strike become blocked the after effects would be surprising to say the very least for anyone watching.

Shaking her head Kali quickly stood to her feet and began dashing down the hall. “NO! THEY CAN’T PROTECT HIM! RORIE HAS BANISHED THEM!!!”

Kali could feel the magic being torn from the air, Rorie was somewhere, doing something horrible. She could actually feel the field of magic being shredded and as such her power, as her mothers and any other magic user in the area, would weign. As she dashed across the castle she could feel him, he was on the roof. She blinked and appeared behind him, he was conjuring an anti-magic field around himself that would nullify any magic in the area. The sphere was growing rapidly and Kali’s eyes went wide, seeing what he was attempting to do. If he could nullify divine magic then he would be the most powerful wizard in the fray, and as such she and Rayann would be helpless. Though she and Rayann were exploring the path of incorporating ambient magic they certainly relied on their divine magic to be effective.

She screamed and Rorie spun, a massive smile on his face as he continued to conjure his magic, “Kali, so nice of you to join me! As you can see you have been surpassed in terms of anti-magic and ambient magic skills!” Kali hissed magical words and fired a push spell hoping to knock Rorie off the roof, but it hit the anti-magic shell and disappeared. Rorie shoke his head and made a ‘tsk-tsk’ sound, “Now niece, did you think I would allow you to come up here if I didn’t intend for you to see what I was doing?” Perhaps you are not as brilliant as I initially thought”

His spell pulsed and she could feel the sickening feeling of the ambient magic destroying the divine again. She clutched at her mid-section and felt her eyes swelling with moisture. Rorie turned and his voice echoed across the glen as he drew in the ambient magic all around him. He thrust his hands forward and fired a massive purple orb of shadow and lightening. It hit the tower and the top three floors exploded sending shards of stone and wood in all directions. The explosion echoed off the hillsides kilometers away and Rorie laughed with satisfaction. He turned back to Kali, his eyes were black with power and his voice sounded as if it was flowing over molten magma, “You see niece? You see what happens when you break with a goddess? Did you not think I would find the child? Rayann is pathetic for ‘hiding’ her in the tower! As soon as I figured it out it was a matter of positioning, like the chess games we used to play. There is no defeating me, Tahkisis has given me more power than you could ever dream and I will now use it to destroy Glen Durel!”

Kali’s rage filled her and she began to run at Rorie, if she could not cast against him she would choke the life from his body. He looked at her curiously as she ran across the roof top and laughed as his bind spell shot from his hand and wrapped her in withering vines. She felt the life being sucked from her as the dark weeds sprung up and encased her, not only choking her but also pulling the very life force from her body, “Foolish, foolish Kali. I give you about three minutes before those vines have done their work, but worry not, you will get the thrill of watching Glen Durel crumble to the ground before the life is choked out of you.”

He rotated his hands again and the whole area around the castle began to swirl with the power he was weaving, the draw on the ambient magic was nauseating to any divine casters and Rorie was deep in his incantation as he stood within his anti-magic shield.

Bad Rock watched Myth’Alas as he stepped into a ready stance. He could feel whatever Rorie was doing and it didn’t seem natural in the least. There was a look on his face of concern, not for the fight coming with Myth but for what in the Abyss Rorie was doing out there. His eyes narrowed on Myth and he spoke with his gravelly voice, “This is less a matter of strength, and more a matter of wills.”

Bad Rock simply stood, the chess board was set and he watched, and waited…

(figured I could afford a post to put me in a position to try and help))

Myth could feel a tingling in the air his eyes were fixed upon Bad Rock for a moment before he relaxed his stance. Myth was no divine caster but he knew what was happening could not be good. "I doubt this will do any good but I truly advise you to take the girl and abandon this place Bad Rock. There is no honor in staying at this point no matter how much she paid you. Rorie intends to see his sister and her entire family dead no matter the cost at this point..."

Myth spun on his heel sparing a glance "I have a family to try and save... for your sake do not get in my way..."

The elven warrior broke into a dash down the hall heading for the stairs

Bad Rock watched Myth and as he spoke he lowered his gaze. He was caught in a strange place, he had never left a job unfinished, but it was becoming clear to him that this was not a matter of an enemy being destroyed, this was a matter of family, and revenge. Rorie was orchestrating a personal vendetta and he was using everyone and everything in his grasp to do it. He watched the legendary Elven warrior and dropped his weapons as Myth turned to run, when Myth turned to look at him he nodded respectfully. His look said it all, I will not stand in the way of your family’s lives.

The hard creature had developed a soft spot since Pela had entered his life. He had never loved, he was incapable of having his own children as most Neterhmen are born sterile, so the gift that she was to him was something he had never imagined possible. He moved towards Pela as he sheathed his weapon and hissed words of magic. He could feel the power in the place being weakened and destroyed, and he was barely able to gather enough power to free her from the bindings Rayann had placed on her. He grabbed her and put her on his back and then leapt from the hole in the side of the building. With his daughter on his back he bounded across the hillside, disappearing over the Northern border of the Glen.

Myth nodded to Bad Rock in return before he shot off like a bolt of lightning. In one moment he had been there and in another he was gone. There was a reason he was often called the crimson wind. As he passed Rayann en route to the stairs he would have registered as little more than a gust of wind and a hint of crimson as he passed by. Even moving as swift as he was the trek seemed to last forever. The seconds it took to reach the top of Glen Durel where Rorie and Kali seemed like minutes in his mind..

That feeling in the pit of his stomach that told him he was walking into danger flared. His life could be damned but he was not going to stop. Myth only had moments to decide what to do as he burst from the doorway. His ring still creating the void around him he charged with his hand on the hilt. In that moment he decided that any death was going to be to quick, but it would start with this one blow. Myth pushed with all his spped and charged Rorie with no words as he came within a couple paces he swung with everything ounce of strength in his arms and adding in his momentum bringing the sheathed Blue Moon around squarely at Rorie's chest. The blade would be drawn when Myth twisted but he would not slash with the momentum of the blade but aim the hilt of his sword at Rorie's temple.

He was unaware of any other oncoming attacks he was set only on ceasing Rorie's.

Pela felt ill. Like she’d never felt ill before. Something was wrong. The pain in her midsection made her double over in pain and she cried out as that pain increased. It hurt so bad that she ended up laying in a fetal position on the floor with her eyes held shut tight and clutching at her midsection trying like hell to get the pain to stop.

She could barely see what was happening between her father and Myth. She tried to call out to him but all she heard was a croaked voice say something that sounded remotely like ‘father’. When she saw him lower his weapons she wanted to cry out to him but she was wracked with another bad pain again and she could only scream as the pain hit her again.

Barely aware of the fact Bad Rock had freed her from her confines, she was like a limp rag doll as he placed her on his back and began making a hasty exit from the area. What ever was happening back there she was glad to be leaving. Never in her life had she felt such pain and somehow she knew it was unnatural and caused by what ever Rorie was doing. All she could do was muster a weak thank you to her father before she felt the blessed blackness of unconsciousness overtake her.

“No…”

The word escaped form Rayann’s mouth like a whisper lost on the wind. Her brother, the one she had been a part of while they shared the same womb, the one who had been a part of her as they grew up was now destroying the one thing she cherished more than life itself, her family.

As Kali took off running for the roof, Rayann tried to blinked out of where she was but before she could fully cast the spell she felt a nauseating sensation so strong her mid section pained her worse than she could ever remember. Doubling over as the pain grew so strong she could barely breathe, she heard the unmistakable sound of the Tower’s roof exploding and she was certain several of the floors with it.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Clutching at the air with one hand while the other pressed into her midsection, she screamed as the thought of Shaeraer being crushed beneath the rubble of the destroyed upper levels of the tower tore through her. Forcing herself to concentrate, she finally blinked away form where she was and to where she felt Kali’s presence. When she arrived, the pain in her midsection multiplied greatly and she felt as though she were going to wretch but again she steeled herself to concentrate on what she needed to do.

Forcing herself to stand, she clenched her jaw tight and began to conjure a spell, using Kali as the target for right now, her daughter needed her more than ever. Rorie may be untouchable in his anti-magic shell, but outside of it, she could use her own against him. Casting her Dispel Magic spell, she aimed to release Kali from the bindings that held the girl trapped and drained her of her life force.

Casting her gaze heavenward, she asked Lunitari to give her strength for the next spells she needed to cast, hoping it would work against Rorie’s anti-magic shield. Reaching her hand skyward, she used herself as a rod to draw in as much of the divine magic she could that still existed around the area much as a lightning rod attracts lightning. It wasn’t easy as Rorie’s use of the ambient was shredding the divine all around her but she prayed she could find just enough for what she needed.

Knowing Myth was moving, she made sure her spell was targeted directly at Rorie in such a way that when it struck, Myth would be able to easily roll out of harms way. The last thing she wanted to do was harm her beloved and the father of her children. With more concentration than she'd ever used before, Rayann began weaving her spells.

As she began whispering the words of magic, she drew her hand slowly down to the front of her body. Between her hands there was nothing and as Rorie looked on, amused by her inability to cast because of the way he was perverting the magic around him, he would soon realize that was not the case.

As Rorie stood on the roof of the Castle, he would begin to hear a rumbling sound from deep within the earth. Even as he tried to figure out what was happening, he simply couldn’t figure it out. Until directly beneath him a large stone like spike erupted aiming to send him sailing through the air.

Kali coughed as the spell released and then vomited all over the place. The poison from the vines was still in her system but the ability to breathe again was a welcome thing. She looked up at her mother, the dark circles under her eyes made her face look almost like a skull as she gently reached to try and get up. She watched as Rayann began casting and grit her teeth, feeling the spell as Rayann channeled what magic she could. Her voice entered her mother’s mind, “Do it mother… kill… him….. it’s the only way to stop him…” she collapsed and moved her eyes to watch Rorie as the spell rumbled the whole castle.

The spell from Rayann truly caught Rorie off-guard, he hadn’t even an inkling that it would come from below. The stone pillar threw him into the air and he was tossed like a cork on rough seas. He grit his teeth as he tried to reorient himself with where he was in relation to the castle roof and he thrust out his arms, casting a steady spell to slow himself down and then blinked to a massive chunk of debris that had gone flying from the roof thanks to Rayann’s spell. He hissed as the anti-magic sphere reappeared and then steadied the massive chunk of roof with power channeled through his staff. He began to laugh like a lunatic as he stood on a hovering section of the castle. Rayann would feel that he was mad with the power flowing through him and that the divine magic in the area was all but destroyed. He looked at Rayann, his face dark with hatred. “So sister, it comes down to this. Pathetic that you had to do what you did and cause all this, but such is the way of the world, what goes around comes around. You caused me more pain than I have ever felt, and now I will watch as you witness the death of your other child.” He looked at Kali and then back to Rayann, “Good-bye Rayann…” He thrust his arms forward and was preparing to cast when the access roof opened and Rorie knew something was wrong. Instinctually he dodged left only to feel the sting of the blade as it impacted his chest and three of his ribs cracked in half. The impact never reached his vital organs but the pain was so intense he screamed as he dropped to his knees.

His staff came up with the momentum of his falling body as the hilt of Myth’s sword followed through on the second half of his swing. Had it not been for the angle of his falling the hilt would have caught him in the head, but due to the shift in his body it impacted his arm just above the elbow and the staff came loose as the bone in his arm snapped and fell off the hovering rock to the roof. The lack of energy channeling into the massive chunk of roof caused it to freefall and with him on top of it crashed into and through the roof, disappearing into the castle below. The hole in the roof was 30 meters across and from first look seemed to go down about 4 floors. From within the horrific sounds of the building being shredded could be heard and the plume of dust came shooting out like a Dwarven canon.

The sound settled and the silence of the dust brought an eerie sensation to the minds of all looking into the crater. After several seconds Rorie’s voice echoed from within, “RAYANN!!!! RAYANN!!! I AM NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!!!!”

Suddenly there was a sensation of magic, pure magic of the white moon. A distinctly feminine Elven voice boomed from within the castle, traveling up through the hole and into the air as if magnified by some strange device, “RESHAKA BRES GRENTALA MORLASHEK!” The divine energy that filled the air caused the hair on the back of everyone’s necks to stand up and an explosion of white hot light erupted from the hole in a split second flash. There wasn’t even a scream, just the sensation of magic returning to the area, and deathly quiet from within.

Myth felt the ribs crack and was almost looking forward to hearing the sound of Rorie's neck crack. The mage shifted and Myth followed through anyways letting his blade strike where it would. When the hilt cracked Rorie's arm Myth put everything he could into leaping away from Rorie. He was every thankful as he landed at the edge of the newly created hole. He watched the whole in silence as Rorie vanished into the depths. Upon hearing the voice Myth was about to dive in after the bastard till he heard the voice of Cerdiwyn and light erupted from the hole. His hand came up shielding his eyes and when it was over he listened to the silence.

With a sigh thoughts of his family returned to the forefront of his mind and he raced for the door leading to the castle depths.

For the first time in her life, Rayann wanted to actually kill another living soul. When she saw what Rorie was doing, she wanted to rip his head off. Especially after what he did to her daughter and quite possibly what he did to her infant son. But as the hole swallowed her brother up and she heard him scream at her, she felt a rage within her and was about to cast a spell when she felt the sudden surge of pure magic and heard the feminine voice.

As the magic rushed back into the area, Rayann gasped and felt as if her head was spinning. She felt her knees grow weak as the sudden pain in her midsection was suddenly lifted as the magic once more filled the void that had been created with Rorie’s perverse use. The instant she could breathe again, she rushed to Kali’s side as tears stung her eyes.

“Kali……by the Gods…..we need to get you some help.”

Looking around frantically, she looked for the crimson hair that was Myth’s as she searched for his form.

”Myth…..Shaeraer…..our son…..is he….?’

Rayann couldn’t bring herself to complete the question. While she didn’t feel the void of her son, she couldn’t actually feel him as she had before this horrid battle began and she was afraid something HAD happened to him.

It was deathly quiet as the dust was settling from the gaping hole in the roof of Glen Durel. As Kali looked up at her mother she began to cough and whispered a thanks to Lunitari as the feeling of magic returned to the area. Whatever Rorie had been doing wasn’t happening, and she didn’t care how, just that it was over… for now. She looked up at her mother and cough again, blood came up and sprinkled on her pale skin as she forced a timid smile, “I don’t know if I am going to make it Mom, whatever that spell was, I can still feel it in my body…” She coughed violently and grabbed her mothers robes as she lay on the floor, her head was spinning and her stomach was aching like she had never felt before.

The access door opened and Ceridwyn emerged from the castle, her eyes met Myth’s as she stepped onto the rooftop and smiled as she bowed her head to Myth, “Elen síla lumenn' omentielvo Myth’alas” (A star shines on the hour of our meeting Myth’alas). She looked up and smiled and as she stood back to her full height Myth would notice the massive piece of snow white cloth wrapped around her shoulder, his son laying inside, safe, warm and asleep. She touched his face gently and then looked to Rayann. Walking over she gently removed the sling and cradled the child a brief second before handing him to Rayann, “A blessing is more than a moment, but a lifetime.” She smiled and her eyes welled as she handed the boy to Rayann and then turned her face to Kali. She smiled warmly and knelt at Kali’s side, removing a small leather pouch from within her robes, “You will be fine Kali, worry not.” Kali smiled, feeling reassured as Ceridwyn placed a mixture of reagents in the girl’s mouth. Kali closed her eyes and her face reflected the bitter flavor of what was just fed to her but she swallowed and inhaled deeply as Ceridwyn stood to her feet.

She looked at the family and smiled a brief moment before speaking, “Now, if you will excuse me, there is a rather perturbed silver dragon down there who is in need of a dispel magic spell.” She winked playfully to Kali and evaporated in a thin line of white smoke, leaving the family alone on the rooftop.
