Well, this feels nice and cozy, much like the Nines did.

I am an old timer from the Nines that came over with the switch. I'm a 80's on gamer with almost exclusively dnd experience (2 one shots of Vampire The Masqurade being the only detour I can remember), although recentally one of my face to face groups seems to have moved around a bit (Eberron to World of Darkness Werewolf to Serenity to d20 Star Wars to Muntants and Masterminds to SW Saga edition to Wild Talents). But seeing as how I like to play as many different characters as I can (I DM for that reason), it has been a fun ride.

I look forward to being an active member, I would like tyo restart the Reverse Dungeon thread we had going on the last site, and would be willing to run a Risus game if any are interested in more of a "Roll" playing experience


Anyway, hello, and I look forward to maybe hopping in some of the other threds or at least just reading them.

I think we should definitely have the reverse dungeon.

If you did a Risus game, I might well be interested. As I just said in 'comings and goings,' I am busy and getting busier by the day, so I mean not to join any more stories! Really, this time! Putting my foot down!

Except Risus would be so fun, you know.

Oh well, we'll see what happens, I guess!

Hello all,

Once again, RPMistress, aka Deb, grabbed me by the ear and said "Join this site!!", so I did. And here I am.

I like RP games, and I love dabbling with writing short stories, mostly in the Fantasy Fiction/D&D genre. But I'm open to try anything once. I am most comfortable when writing or RP'ing some form of Elf or Half-Elven Ranger/Hunter/Archer type of character and I have a VERY vivid imagination so there's no telling where a particular story might wander.

Anywho, looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all and hopefully contributing to some good reading. My schedule is busy, to say the least, but I will attempt to contribute at least weekly on any projects I am accepted to join.

Once you get to know me better you'll learn that in that esoteric existence called "real life" I go by the avatar of Kevin, and those who know me really well call me Kev. Or butthead, depending on how much I've teased Deb that day. . . .

I am glad you Crossed Over!

Well I guess I should give a brief little intro myself.

I have been role playing since all those years ago when I discovered the marvels of Dungeons & Dragons and built my shrine to the Gygax. That bright red coloured manual was my grimoire, a magical portal that opened a world of endless possibilities. I then played many other table tops games, from a James Bond spin off, to Gamma World, to Call of Cthulhu. I even tried Star Frontiers, but that really didn't last. (Have I dated myself yet?)

It is a curse, really, having such an imagination, all of us here share it, but in this place we can find some peace of mind knowing that we will never be scrutinized for it. When I no longer had time for table top, and the interest of it seemed to die in everyone around me I felt a little lost, then as the internet grew in popularity this bright glowing screen in which I stare into at this very moment became my portal. I began with MMORPG's, and through them found forums where I was able to write and add to the pre-created worlds, but in time I felt stifled and searched long for a place where one would have free reign to create, and after many disappointing forums, I came to the Nine Worlds.

The name Tiphereth has existed in Cyber Space for some time, I have rarely used another name, and as you all pretty figured by now, graphics are my thing and I am not bad with website although don't get me started on programming. (I really seemed to miss that *$%*# bus).

I am quite mellow when online, and I simply love writing and should I make a mistake never hesitate to tell me. I check my ego at the door in this place as should we all. I am here to above all relax and share in some good times with good people who have become all too familiar in such a short time.

As to intros I guess I should throw a little out there my ownself.

I am Dann in R/L, an avid wind boater, phorographer, and reader. I have flown airplanes, been known to jump out of perfectly good airplanes and scuba diver. I have been RPing since 2000 in the days of Yahoo, damn that seems like prehistoric times. Have wandered throough ICQ, MSN, GCN, Fantsyworld, and The 9's. I am now am here with what I consider the best of the best in BifrostBridge.
R/L I work for the government, so I am here to help, you believe that don't ya , not to worry all I am in county government. I am also a freelance recording engineer and record producer. I understand about time restraints and R/L ALWAYS comes first, sadly, our occupations allows us to come here and play. I believe this world we create is a place to relax, exchange creative ideas, have fun and unwind from the demands of real life. So let's have some fun.

Oh, well, if it's history you're wanting, I started playing Gemstone back on AOL before the Internet was really cool.

After Gemstone, I got interested in Diablo, then Diablo II and the Lord of Destruction expansion: left there for Dark Age of Camelot, then to World of Warcraft, and am now leisurely playing LOTRO.

As for interests, I too am a scuba diver, love to go camping/hiking/backpacking/all that outdoorsy stuff, except mountain biking, never got into that much. I love volleyball and softball with a passion, and with the exception of basketball and car racing just about every other sport.

I have a daughter who'll be FIVE on May 4th, and starting kindergarten this fall. She's the love and pride of my life.

Ok, I think I've rambled enough for now.

Come on in and tell us a little about yourself. As you can see, there's a pretty diverse group of folks here and we love hearing about others who have decided to join us.

Don't be shy...there's no jugement here. And I promise to keep Kynnzak on a short leash so he doesn't slobber all over you.

Slobber eh? Well as long as Kynnzak has had all the right shot we will get along just fine.

I guess it was the mid 80 I cast my first die then let it to the 90's in college and played again. I am convince a table top game will truly never be reproduced in the web. Its that old human factor that still lures me to paper and pen.

I start back up with Dark Grimoire and that beast of a god they call Ben. With a slow building of a site it soon lost interest when a hero named Wop May was unjustly named Winthrop because a wop is a derogatory name. Have to ponder if they ever read a WWI or WWII history book on the flying heroes. yup I am not a huge fan of over done political correctness.

I joint another txt rpg where I have had some interesting discussions but not a great amount of game play. There I met your fearless leader and took up his offer to come and visit here.

As far as this style of rpg i am more then a bit green so I shall try to do what I enjoy learn the ropes of a new way of life.

I be digging about and read up the rules and such and see how it goes.

I respectfully disagree with us being an insane asylum.

Sure, some of those other guys have questionable mental stability, but we do not make a habit of inviting more of them, if anything I am trying my best to either get them sane or get rid of them. Naturally they are resisting, but despite it all I think I've made progress, albeit little.

I WOULD stay far away from Kevin, and despite some people saying it looks real "chic", I wouldn't even touch one of those jackets with a three mile long pole either.

Don't feed anyone and don't tap the glass, they don't like that. Stick to writing stories with them and that's the most you can do. It's therapy for them you see.
