If you know ahead of time that you will be inactive for a few days or have just returned from an extended absence, please let us know!

We are a tight-knit community and like to know each other's comings and goings. Also, there is the practical advantage that we can pace ourselves accordingly in any threads you are active in.

I might add as a tight knit litle community, if we don't see or hear from anyone in a while, we begin to become concerned for their well being.

This may be a new site, but since home is where the heart is, I'd like to say:

WELCOME BACK KYNNZAK AND KASAI!!

Hey, contribute away! I'm sure there's a lot more we can do around here...

AND I'M GLAD THE OLD NINERS ARE COMING HERE!!!

Speaking of working fast, though, as a heads up to you all, I am feeling increasing pressure from various obligations in my life, which will ask more committment from me as summer cometh. As such, I may be posting a little slower than I have in the past. I will still do my best to keep moving ahead in all the stories I am involved in, but I want to apologize in advance if I seem sluggish at times.

There's my disclaimer for the months ahead.

We completelly understand, Amanda. With summer comes decreasing activity in front of a computer. We'll slow down, no doubt. That's to be expected, but we'll always be here for you.

Just giving everyone a heads up. I may not be around much this weekend. I must attend a recertification class for my diver certification.

I near got my scuba certification a while back, but when it came time for the deep water dive, my options were few. I had to enter the darkest lake, and I thought, 'no feakin' way!'

There is something about diving in the blackness, that well, frankly freaks me out. I am not claustrophobic in anyway, but after hearing these frightening stories of the 'giant pike' divers had seen in the lake, I just knew if I saw one that'd be it for me. I'd hyperventilate in no time.

Sorry I haven't been able to get my posts in... it's one thing after the other. My wee one got sick last night, and some family are popping by for a stay over, this evening. I need to curl up in my shell for a bit. Very Happy

LOL

I don't go swimming where I can't see the bottom. I fear what may be in the water that I can't see. And I agree 100% with you Tiph. those giant pike and musky can get quite agressive and I'd rather not push my luck.

Take yer time posting, sugar. We're a relaxed community and we know RL comes first and foremost.

Oh...and good luck with the family visit. affraid

No worries, Tiph. I had a busy day myself, and I think most of the posts that I wanted to do today I won't get to write until tomorrow! But I should have a little more time tomorrow, so that'll be nice.

Like Deb said, RL comes first. And as I said earlier, I'm gonna be a bit sluggish for the next few months, and I regret that, but it's reality for ya. And this weekend I probably won't be on much, either Dann, so it all works out.

If only I never had to sleep. Imagine the posting I could get done!

Diver certs are supposed to be in perpetuity. The only thing you need to do is do a "refresher" if you haven't been down in a while. Or have they changed that now?
